Happy new year!

Hi lovelies~

It's been a while since I've updated...yes, I know, shame on me.  Anyway, a fabulous 2007 to you all!!! Lots of blessings and fun to everyone in the coming year...may you work hard towards your goals and find love and success wherever your life takes you.

Anyway, PU lexicology goes on and I know many of you have been writing busily as the semester end approaches. If you read my entries below starting from the beginning, you will find that instructions for all past five Xanga assignments are explained here. Here are the instructions that were given for the 6th writing assignment:

From the lists of quotes given to you in class on Dec 7, choose 2 to 3 that stand out to you and write a response on Xanga. That just means, what's your opinion about the quote? Agree? Disagree? Have you had first hand experience with what it's saying? Tell us! Of course, don't forget to type out the quote so we know what you're responding to...

As well, please don't forget for this week's class to bring your first draft of the PERSONAL CORE BELIEF essay you all promised to bring last week. I'll be expecting it and looking forward to reading them...

By the way, I'm gonna upload photos in my photo section to share with you about me...so check them out when you have a chance!

Keeping up on writing...

By now, you all should have written at least 4 to 5 entries on your Xanga site. After reading "The Many Faces of Conviction" in our November 16 class, you were to share your thoughts regarding religion, either for yourself or for people in general. I've read some very thought-provoking entries and I HIGHLY encourage you all to check each other's writing out!

The 5th entry that you should write this week should relate to something from your personal experience. Think of an event from your past that has deeply affected you in some way and describe this experience in your writing. What happened? When? Where? With whom? Why does this event stand out? How is it significant in the history of you?

Look forward again to reading your writing...

This I Believe (Homework)

Hi lovely students: I just got home from our class today (I couldn't resist walking around and enjoying a beautiful evening walk!) and am looking forward to checking your quizzes. Below are the links to the essay collection I told you about. I discovered them online this week and was so moved by some of them that I really wanted to share them with you. Some of the writers (not professional, just regular people) have really had amazing experiences that make me realize how people all over are similar in so many ways. We are joined by universal human values, emotions, and ideas through unique experiences found in different times and places. Please check out some of the ones below, and hopefully they give you some ideas about what to write about YOU on your Xanga page! I have listed here some of the stories that I like the best, but you can explore the website to find your own favorites! I would love to hear your recommendations on which ones to read!~
